Cloud Hosting - The New Type Of Popular Hosting Plan

Firstly, there is free web hosting service. This type of service is provided by the companies who do not require you to pay for hiring their service. But the problem with them is that you will not get all the features of the high quality service.

Who is currently hosting your solution? Office 365 is run and managed by Microsoft themselves with a financially backed 99.9% up-time guarantee. Your current provider may be doing 99.99% or higher but if you are running your own servers chances are you're not getting that type of up-time. The difference between 99.9% and 99.99% is 8.76 hours of un-scheduled downtime per year vs. under 1 hour per year. You have to decide what type of downtime your company can withstand. We do like that Microsoft is backing the downtime guarantee financially since it puts Microsoft on the hook for a lot of money were they to have any outages.

RAM: VPS servers are advertised with RAM values just like computers are in a computer store. Host are rather unforthcoming when you ask them how much RAM you need but I would say 500MB RAM would be satisfactory for a WordPress site that doesn't get much more than 500 visitors a day.

Per Chip (and my own research) those base services don't include things like backing up and archiving my data, installing and upgrading applications, or even testing my applications for compatibility. They don't include security Cloudways patching firewall services anti-virus software or the use of redundant servers. They don't include user management. They don't include 24/7 support. Amazon offers these, and many other services. But all are at an extra charge. Chip says that when you add the cost of these services to EC2's base price, the annual expenses are much closer, if not even a little higher, than using a typical managed desktop company like Independence IT.

Server Software: you may be used to certain server software, such as cPanel and Plesk in order to maintain your site. Some hosts use their own software which may be difficult to learn.

In a small business where is very unlikely for more than one person to be working on a document, "cloud computing" may be a very realistic alternative to expensive servers, or rented server services. In our office, everybody owns their document, and changes are sent as a separate document to prevent sync errors when two people have made changes to the central document. The answer here is going to be a "change key" so that when you re-sync with the cloud, a window will show any changes posted by other people since your last sync. If you are the owner of the doc then you can approve them. Otherwise, each upload would have to be a version change and this could drive the document owner nuts.

Thirdly, there is "reseller" company. This type of organization usually buys its domain from other big web hosting industries. Then they resell it to the individual get more info webmasters. There are a lot of such companies now-a-days. They are quite popular because they provide you almost all the standard features. But they may not be that much efficient like the ones who have their own domain and space.

Always remember to take time in learning all about the offers made to you. After that, the next thing to consider is the reputation of the web hosting companies. Make sure that the web hosting company you choose is stable to carry on a business deal you are willing to sign on.
